Al Bustan, Oman

When the Sultan of Oman wanted to build the Al Bustan Palace hotel he had one problem; the village of Al Bustan was in the way. So he uprooted the village and rebuilt it in the next bay along with all mod cons. The villagers still herd their goats along the water’s edge and past the sunbathers to get to the pastures. I’ve been there and seen it.
